Well I’m back on the road!!! I biked to the coast from Olympia and rode the 101 south into Oregon. My plan was to head to Portland for a concert and hang with a friend of mine who lives there. But my body had a different idea and the day after my birthday I woke up with a bad stomach flu. I spent the day vomiting and pooping. It was super fun!!!…… ugh. After three days of rest I got back on the saddle and it was really hard. I still barely had an appetite and was really low on energy. But after two short days of riding I made it to Portland only five days late.
I checked into a hostel and made a friend quickly, Christine from Perth, Australia. We went out for dinner and drinks and met up with my friend Courtney who lives in town. Then following day Christine and I explored Portland and walked around Washington Park and the Japanese Gardens. They were so pretty!!!
Christine and I met up with Courtney again for a drag show at Ember Bar, a gay bar that is sadly closing down Friday morning. It turns out she had a bit too much and vomited on her way to the hostel door. Overall it was a fun time in Portland!
